Background

In 1917 for the first time in history Original Dixieland Jazz band recorded jazz on vinyl. Jazz and bourbon are tightly-knit: both were persecuted, both prospered in speakeasy bars, both represent improvisation based on tradition

Idea

To celebrate 100th anniversary of jazz Wild Turkey tried to reinvent the genre and predict its future. With a new product for contemporary world. Not bourbon. Jazz of the future with artificial intelligence.

Execution

We trained a neural network on more than 100 000 of jazz masterpieces and generated a melody. We called it Wild Turkey Future. In Moscow Vadim Eilenkrig, a renowned Russian trumpet player presented the first ever jazz composition created with the help of AI.
